Habitat Study
On October 21st a biodiversity and habitat specialist from the Heritage Schools Council visited our school. We spent some time at our local stream in Killusty where we studied the river habitat. We learned lots of interesting facts and we were amazed with our river exploration and findings. The weather held to boot. What a lovely morning!

Well done to all who ran in the Clonmel AC Cross country event in Clonmel on Wednesday October 15th. Zara ran a great race to finish a very close 4th place - earning herself an individual medal. Rowan ran an equally impressive race coming in 13th place in a very competitive boys race. All efforts were rewarded with a trip to the playground afterwards.

Visit to our local Potter
The children enjoyed a creative and hands-on trip to Dóirín’s Pottery Studio in Fethard on Thursday 2nd October. They were introduced to the basics of pottery and each child made a small turtle and a farm animal of their choice out of clay. One of the highlights was watching the potter’s wheel in action. It was a day full of learning, messy fingers and playing with Lucas the dog!

Sweets and Treats !
In late September, we took to producing some culinary delights and made very chocolaty Rice Crispie buns, which we shared with our neighbour Christie, in appreciation for all his hard work in our school garden. Christie colours us beautiful every year. We all got to enjoy the leftovers!
